The Treatment Process

1) Understanding Your Story
Our initial evaluation session forms the foundation for our work together. We will go through a comprehensive evaluation to explore the whole picture - your concerns, daily challenges, medical history, personal and family background, relationships, past experiences, and more.
For kids and teens, at least one parent/guardian must always participate in appointments.

2) Creating Your Personal Plan
Based on the information we cover in our initial evaluation, we will work together to develop a treatment plan personalized to your situation, goals, and values. This might include medication, practical strategies, and lifestyle approaches. The plan may also include recommendations for further testing, labwork, or referrals to another therapist, physician, or community resource. My treatment recommendations align with evidence-based practice guidelines demonstrated to be most effective and helpful.

3) Supporting Your Progress
We’ll plan regular check-ins to monitor progress, address any concerns, and make adjustments to our treatment plan as needed. I will explain everything clearly so you (and your family) understand your options and why it will help. Whether adjusting medication, learning new skills, or navigating life changes, you'll have consistent support throughout your mental health journey.

Extended initial session that includes time with both the child/teen and parents. Adults may also select this extended session.
Follow-Up Sessions

Regular sessions to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing support.

Extended sessions ideal for addressing complex issues, building coping skills, or working through significant transitions.
Additional Services
